I dropped just the top of my phone in water and it immediately went black. I soaked it in rice for 24 hours and it still wouldn't turn on. I brought it to a repair place where they cleaned it etc. They were able to get it to turn on, but I can't use it because the screen does not respond to my touch. They said it's a malfunction of the digitizer and for some reason there was nothing they could do. Is there any way to fix this? The screen isn't cracked or anything, the display is fine. If I replace the digitizer with one of your kits, should that fix the problem? What else can I do?
My tablet did not fall in water but something filled with water spilled on it. It was cracked up b4 this incident but the touch was still working. All the knobs are working (power button, volume buttons and home button) . it's coming on and I still get notifications but I have a pattern on it my touch is not responding.plz help. :"(

Daniel Helms, anytime you have a certain area on the touch screen that is unresponsive, suspect the digitizer. This problem can occur without a cracked or otherwise damaged digitizer. It is good practice to try a factory reset etc., but if that doesn't work, you should replace the digitizer or display assembly. Since the digitizer and the LCD are fused together, you will need an LCD separator and other tools to replace the digitizer. Replacing the complete display assembly will make the task easier. I hope this helps. Good luck.
You cannot use randam dead touch area but by using rotatation can touch the option from other area. For keyboard use laban keyboard and change it's layout litter bigger, this way you can manage things other wise LG has left no option.
This just started happening to me after using the LG G2 since 12/07/2013. I hadn't thought about the drawing "test", but sure enough, it showed where the area was not responding which is consistent with the non functioning keyboard areas). Other than entering passwords requiring these letters/numbers on the affected keyboard area, the solution I'm pursuing is to change the passwords (needed to do that anyway) to use working letters/numbers. Hopefully, this solution will work until my contract is up in November with Spring, then I can dump them and the LG phone. Too bad as I really liked the LG G2, but seems like a lot of folks are experiencing similar problems.
I think I figured it out It may help try it. The ghost touches could be from a lose screen that has to be fix are software. But you would have to determine that by these steps. I figured the screen would either be messed up if you dropped it and the cable is lose are a defect and can cause ghost touches are screen scrolling are wacky things going on with your screen physically or could be static shock if you do not have a static free cover or your power adapter if it's not original for the phone are a different kind can cause it as well all this I found out just doing everything I could think of that may cause this thing to act up. Unless you have a static free case or antishock case that may cause the problem as well. As I went a whole day without plugging in my charger after I done a few things that I will explain threw this whole thread that it did not act up one time with out plugging in my charger I used a charger for my samsung galaxy as it the same volts nothing different. There is a dead spot on the screen where no matter what you do it will not let you touch anything and it's toward the top in a straight line across. Very seldom it will let you touch anything and I think it's where the ghost touches are right in that spot. Now for software. No matter if you reset your phone from the hard reset if your signed up with google unless you go vanilla and not let google download everything you had on there again your in trouble if you do. For one it's software problem that has not been fixed and for 2 when cutting on and off it stops sometimes that's software. Now for the good part what others may find out is if you go in and reset your phone with just says reset to default instead of starting from scratch the phone doesn't act up. This phone is very picky on what it wants on it. Also I found that it could be the facebook app causing it to do this!! I promise you once I reset my phone to default and deleted the facebook app I had no problems yet all day!! Because as I got notifications from facebook on my phone locked up and started the wacky and not responding and all other kinds of things with ghost touches and all. I looked at facebook from the web with google chrome after the app was off again and no problems. Also I found out that if you do not use the default text keyboard are the default text message program on the phone no matter if you like what it does are not it will cause you problems!! I will update and let you know as I go threw finding out what really happens with doing all this again!! Thanks and hope this helps a lot of people as it certainly had me stumped. I love this phone but couldn't use it will get back as I find more problems if things start to acting stupid again. OO and I have the verizon VS980
Another solution to enter passcode on iPhone with broken screen is by plugging in your iPhone's lightning adapter to a wired USB keyboard and connecting it with the iPhone. This solution is best for those that their screen broken iPhone doesn't have any part that responds to touch. You can get a simple Dell USB Keyboard from Amazon or eBay; it usually costs about $14 to $20.
Step 1. Connect the external keyboard to your iPhone using the original Apple lightning cable.Step 2. Double click the Spacebar to launch the lock screen.Step 3. Enter your passcode, and at the point of entering the 4th or 6th digit, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will open.
Step 1. If your iPhone is Bluetooth enabled, then turn on the keyboard and wait for it to connect to your iPhone.Step 2. Double click the Spacebar to launch the lock screen.Step 3. Enter your passcode, and at the point of entering the 4th or 6th digit, your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch will open.
